He has toured Europe/South America with his trio; and has performed with artists including vocalists Tierney Sutton, Norma Winstone, Ernestine Anderson and Nnenna Freelon, as well as, bassist Ron Carter; guitarist Russell Malone; saxophonist Benny Golson. When not finger talking or touring; his musical mind composes, as his original pieces attest to, having been heard on “The West Wing,” “The Wire,” “NCIS: Los Angeles,” and many other cable shows and movies. Bill is in the Seattle Jazz Hall of Fame and if that’s not enough accolades he was, in 2014, a winner of the inaugural Paul Desmond Award, allaboutjazz.com’s celebration of the funniest jazz artists.
