Servant Leadership - Enlightening talks at a special invitation only and in person event for Professionals in the Puget Sound Area. KEYNOTE SPEECH Can 3,000 years of management experience be summarized in 30 minutes? Yes, it is possible. Financial geniuses, political giants, and spiritual mountains – all of them have succeeded as leaders and brought about change using one principle: Servant Leadership. What does servant leadership mean? Many leaders believe that they lead, and others should simply follow. However, today, research has shown that a true leader imbibes the value of servant leadership or leading through service. Though only recently studied, this concept is not new at all. Great leaders have practiced it throughout history for thousands of years. Pujya Yoganand Swami will discuss historical and modern leaders through millennia who have improved their families, communities, and the world through their service to each of them. Through stories and anecdotes, he will explain how the value of servant leadership can create great leaders and how we can imbibe it. IMPORTANT NOTE As this is in person event we recommend delegates who sign up are fully vaccinated for COVID-19. We will follow WA state indoor COVID-19 guide lines, so Delegates will also be requested to wear facial mask. SCHEDULE: Mahaprasad (Dinner) - 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm Servant Leadership - Talk - 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm SPEAKER - PUJYA YOGANAND SWAMI The speakers for the session will be Pujya Yoganand Swami. He is ordained swamis in the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. Pujya Yoganand Swami was born and raised in Cleveland, OH. Before becoming Swami he was studying in a 6 year Medical Program. He was inspired by Param Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj to become a sadhu. He also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sanskrit Scriptures from India and a Master’s Degree in Indian Philosophy. He is currently serving in the BAPS North American Youth Activities. He possesses a deep understanding of Hinduism and the principles, stories, and anecdotes that are found within our shāstras. Because of his education prior to becoming a sadhu in North America, he has a unique ability to use the wisdom found within our shāstras to provide solutions to the challenges that we face that stem from our modern lifestyle.
