Painting & Lunch with Todd Horton - Ages 12-18
This is an art experience for ages 12 to 18 in which kids will learn a unique technique in painting and then a few days later get to experience an art opening with their paintings. Their art will be on display for a month at Terramar.
In this class we’ll hopefully get two paintings finished on Monday and then on Thursday have a little art opening at Terramar where you can invite friends and family. Using acrylic paint, they will create paintings of animals in motion, perhaps a running deer, flying crow or their own pet. These works won’t be your typical static wildlife paintings. Once the animal is painted they will then take a large dry brush and set it into motion by pulling it across the still wet paint and blurring it. The final result will be an animal infused with a sense of life with some surprising results.
Students should bring a couple images either printed or on a phone for reference of animals in motion.
