This grand opening event features 2 days of outstanding speakers delivering high-level courses on TMD and Airway. Come and celebrate the grand opening of our Vivos Institute in Denver, Colorado! This two-day event track features groundbreaking training from Jon Caulfield, DDS and Prabu Raman, DDS on the similarities and the differences in signs and symptoms that patients with TMD or airway/sleep issues will present. Attendees will explore how to determine which issues to treat first and the considerations for long term stability and healing. Instructors will explain why and how the TM Joints and muscles of the jaw, head and neck need to be treated before repositioning the mandible for airway and sleep treatment. The instructors will also present and discuss a new way to treat the muscles, TM Joints and airway sleep issues simultaneously with one appliance system. After this course attendees will be able to: Recognize intraoral signs indicating TMD Identify intra-and extraoral signs indicating sleep breathing disorders Understand the etiology of TMD and SBD Review the influence of growth and development on airway, sleep, and TMD patients Determine posture and bite issues that should be considered first Learn a predictable technique to determine physiologic starting treatment position of the TM joints and muscles Implement screening for TMD and SBD into new patient and re-care examinations
