A four-week series that empowers change in families who are struggling with a loved one's addiction. Join us for a four-week series intentionally designed to give families and loved ones tools and skills to care for themselves as they navigate a loved one's addiction. This series invites you to turn your focus back onto what you can control: You. You will meet others going through similar family dynamics and have the opportunity to participate fully in learning and implementing new ways of interacting. This series will be capped at 15 people to allow for an intimate healing experience. We will focus on: (Week 1): Family Roles Tuesday, July 13th 5:30-7:00pm (Week 2): Attachment Theory Tuesday, July 20th 5:30-7:00pm (Week 3): Effective Boundaries Tuesday, July 27th 5:30-7:00pm (Week 4): Empowerment Tuesday, August 3rd 5:30-7:00pm We know how hard it can be to focus on yourself and your own self care as you move through trying to support a loved one who is in the midst of addiction. It is possible and we are here to help. You can do this. Learn about the facilitator: Joey Holub CAS, LADAC By providing care to individuals with substance abuse and their families for the last thirteen years, Joey has developed an in-depth understanding of the constructs and common challenges that families face. His attachment-focused approach to healing and growth will provide our attendees with insight and skills that can make a huge difference in a family’s ability to function without being guided by dysfunction. NorthStar Transitions is a dual focused, co-occuring substance abuse recovery program in Boulder, CO. We offer a full recovery continuum of care for adult men and women focused in empowering our clients to navigate real life recovery. Our curriculum is CBT and trauma focused, with an emphasis on reparative somatic experiencing, mindfulness, and evidence based therapies to equip our clients with tools for long term, sustainable recovery. We offer Medication Assisted Treatment and have a Psychiatrist, Physician's Assistant, Registered Nurse, and Medical Assistant on staff to monitor medications. We are accredited by The Joint Commission, and have established in-network contracts with many providers (like BCBS, Cigna, United, Humana, Tricare Prime, and more) to make treatment accessible.
