Join fellow cooperators on Tuesday, August 24, at 6:30 pm at Little Red Barn Brewers in Winsted, CT for a 'Community Conversation'-style discussion, taking a look at the changes we've all been through the last 18 months, changes in the grocery business generally, and how do all these issues impact our mission and vision? Do we need changes that reflect the 'new normal', or are our statements still fit for purpose?Little Red Barn will be offering taproom pours for $5.00. Community members from the Northwest Corner are coming together to create a cooperatively owned full-service grocery store to serve our area. As of January 16, 2020, we have 314 member-owners from the towns of Winchester, Torrington, Norfolk, Barkhamsted, Colebrook, New Hartford, Warren, Goshen, West Hartland, Canaan, Riverton and other more distant communities. We have reached our first goal of 300 member-owners, and are finalizing our business plan. Ultimately we will need about 1000 member-owners from throughout our market area to open with confidence. Join us today and bring us that much closer to opening our doors!
