Let's start start off August with an act of service to our less fortunate community! We are asking for volunteers and donations of items to put together toiletry kits and non-perishable food/drink packages - please check the list below of items we are requesting. Please let us whether you would like to: Donate to the CauseAssemble Care Packages Volunteer to hand out care packagesIf you would like to donate items, please specify what items you will be bringing. We will be accepting donations on Saturday, 7/31 from 9am -12pm at the Fort Foote Recreation Center (8300 Fort Foote Rd., Fort Washington, MD 20744). If you would like to donate items but can't make it on 7/31, please contact the organizers to make other arrangements. If you would like to help assemble care packages we will be doing this on Saturday, 7/31 from 12-3pm at the Forte Foote Recreation Center as well. We will be handing out care packages from 10am - 1pm down the street from Union Station at the intersection of K St NE and First St NE. At the conclusion of our event, we'll meet up at a location TBD for food and drinks. Additional information will be provided closer to the event.
