Description

Walla Walla's famous for Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Malbec, and more. Taste and learn! TOWN EVENT ALERT: THE PARK CITY KIMBALL ARTS FESTIVAL STARTS FRIDAY EVENING ON MAIN STREET. Parking will be extremely limited. Consider alternative ways to get to Main Street. Join Professor Pamela Wood as she takes you through a tasting of five wines that come from the well-known Washington AVA of Walla Walla. She'll feature her favorites so come to enjoy new wines to appreciate. Fox School of Wine and O.P. Rockwell invite you to a fun-filled, guided wine tasting on Main Street. Executive Sommelier and Fox School of Wine Headmistress, Kirsten Fox, and her Wine Professors will present a well-paced tasting of five, approachable, under-$40 hidden gem wines that you may have overlooked in the aisles at your local liquor store. After you check in, select your optional recess game - Hangman, Bananagrams, Connect4, etc. - to play before or after class. You'll receive a tasting pour of each wine, stories and history about the winery, grapes, and region, food pairing ideas... plus our signature Blind Tasting Challenge, when we pour you a taste of a wine you've already explored in class to see if you can guess which one it is. Don't we all deserve a little recess these days? Reserve your table for this Friday! Enhance your experience When you're buying your tickets, you can reserve a gorgeous, gluten-free, organic charcuterie tray for 2-4 student made by Park City Desserts. You'll pay on arrival and they'll deliver your tray to your table. Add tickets for the OP Rockwell live show after class. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., and Recess at The Rock begins promptly at 6:30 p.m.! *** Precautions we are taking to ensure everyone's safety: This is a COVID-aware gathering reserved for 40 people in a room that normally seats many times that. Your party will be seated with room between you and other groups in The Rockwell Listening Room, on the main floor of The Rock Building at 268 Main Street, which features a brand-new air-purification system. Tables are sanitized, and hand sanitizer will be available throughout the room. Masks may be required until seated. Join us for fun, tasting and a side of wine education. Please be comforted by our "No Student Left Behind" policy: If any student needs more wine education, we will stand behind that student with our years of education and will ensure the student is pulled up with the rest of the class.
