Drab to FAB Furniture Painting & Techniques Workshop @ Nest on Main Join us for another Drab to Fab furniture painting workshop where Andrea of Dre’s Eclectic Workshop will guide you through the process of painting your own piece of furniture (or mirror or lamp) from prep to finished product using Country Chic paint! Andrea will share some tips on hardware choice and refinishing, special effects using colored waxes, distressing, and more. About this Event: Have a small piece of furniture that needs some TLC? Bring it to our Drab to FAB workshop & learn the transformative effects of Country Chic chalk-based paint. Andrea will also walk you through ESSENTIAL chalk-painting techniques: Attendees will learn various techniques of waxing painted furniture with colored waxes including antique, black, and white to create a “patina” to compliment your painted piece. She will also demonstrate how to use antiquing dust and a crackle medium to add an aged look to your pieces while accentuating details. Attendees can choose from our full selection of beautiful Country Chic paint colors. Color cards are available at Nest on Main. PLEASE NOTE:The price of this class includes the use of our supplies including brushes, prep materials, gloves, sandpaper, painter's tape, wood filler, and refreshments. Paint is not included in the price of this event and can be purchased from our full selection of Country Chic colors. There are size restrictions on the piece of furniture that can be brought to the class. Given the size of the space available, please bring with you a piece of wood furniture, small enough to be easily carried in an out. Examples include small side tables, small coffee tables, chests, wall mirrors, small bookshelves, etc. Each attendee will also receive 10% off coupon exclusive of this event, to be used the day of the class.For your safety, this class will be limited to 6 attendees to maintain proper social distancing.
