An in-depth look (or should we say taste?) at the incredible styles of Whiskey produced right here in the USA! Although America is a fairly new country, its native Whiskey has gained worldwide fame due to its rich history that matches its exquisite taste and quality. Whiskey has been the drink of choice for many Americans since time immemorial, with Bourbon and Rye possibly having been a constant companion as they’ve gone through life-changing and trend-setting phases throughout history. Through many wars, triumphs, prohibitions, and rebellions, whiskey has lasted and survived. Strap yourself in as we go on trip through the history of domestic whiskey. In this in-depth course, attendees will taste through a flight of ten American Whiskies - including Bourbon, Rye, Wheat whiskey, Corn whiskey, and more - while learning about their origin, what makes each one unique, and how they have evolved since our nation was founded. In addition to learning about each spirit, attendees will receive instruction on the fundamentals of nosing and tasting spirits. Thus, by understanding and appreciating their trademark qualities, attendees will walk away with the tools they need to identify what makes American Whiskies of superior quality. At the end of the course, you’re certain to leave feeling like a certified Master of Whiskey! Attendees must be 21 years of age. Class promptly begins at 12pm and concludes at 2:30pm. Hors d’oeuvres will be served at the beginning of the course. Guests are encouraged to stick around after the course concludes to enjoy our Sunday Happy Hour service at 3pm!
