Seeking a few non-pros

Meets

Caldwell ID

Description

Looking to start a small, informal “band”. Three or four people at most. My own preferences revolve around classic rock, but spread WAY out. Mostly I like variety. And I prefer music that is a little lively. Playing (or listening to) nothing but slow ballads puts me to sleep. I'd like to meet about once a week. If we find songs we all enjoy we can put some polish on them and maybe play at an open mic once in a while to listen to and meet other area musicians. Maybe do more as our repertoire expands. Not really looking for paying gigs, but perhaps some public service on occasion like at senior centers. I play rhythm guitar and some harmonica. I've even been known to break out a kazoo once in a while. I'm mostly interested in playing acoustic. A variety of instrumentation would be considered, but due to the small size and non amplification of the band, drums are at the bottom of the list. Things like a cajon, or a djembe, etc. would fit in okay. I live in Caldwell, but can meet just about anywhere in the greater Boise area to jam and/or practice. Be ready to share in singing. Now, some negativity, due to responses to a recent CL ad. Please pass this ad by if you are: Pretentious Stuck in one generation or genre of music Only interested in songs under 80 BPM Everyone has different tastes in music. If you want people to accept what you want to play, then be ready and willing to play songs other people like as well!!! And PLEASE be fully vaccinated! We need to put an end to COVID!!
