What is idolatry and where is it visible in society and in the church? Where does faith intersect with idolatry in theology and practice? We all have idols. The church has idols. People have idols. How do these idols influence and shape our theology? Additionally, we have idols in our practices as the church. Join us for a discussion on faith and idols to learn more about their impact on the church and how we can point our faith in a truer direction than idols. Lutheran Child and Family Services began in 1883 as Evangelisch Lutherische Waisenhaus-Gesellschaft. Today, the LCFS service areas include: a residential treatment center for children, community based therapy, and a food and clothing pantry. At LCFS the SEED program (Spiritual Engagement, Education and Development), actively promotes spiritual health, forgiveness and wholeness in Christ. We are thankful for our Lutheran churches; a supportive connection which began in 1883.
