Mead Tasting and Pairing with the Owner of Upper Reach Meadery. Celebrate National Mead Day at the Devil's Den in Philadelphia. On Thursday, August 5th the Devil's Den is hosting a Mead Tasting and Pairing with our friends at Upper Reach Meadery. Owner and Head Mazer, Adam Crockett will lead guests on a tasting of 4 meads paired with small plates and snacks from the Devil's Den. Ticket price includes a flight of Upper Reach Meads (4 - 5oz glasses of select meads), 4 small plate food pairings, and a discussion of mead from Adam Crockett. Mead Flight - 4 5oz glasses of Mead Homestead - traditional mead with raspberry blossom honey Parlor - Old Fashioned inspired mead Crimson Stag - mead with black raspberry, grapes and aronia berries Grand Cherry - a Solera version of the award wining Heavy Cherry, this is a Hive member exclusive. Food Pairings TBA After the tasting enjoy a selection of meads from Upper Reach that can be purchased a la carte, including their Weekend Water session meads.
