Chamber of Commerce Contact Wendi Rich at [email protected] or 812-547-2385 Perry-Spencer Rural Telephone Cooperative, Inc. d/b/a/ PSC was incorporated in 1953 to provide local telephone service to its rural cooperative members. Today, PSC is the area’s largest provider of fiber broadband services, including voice, video and Internet, to Perry, Spencer, Dubois and Pike counties. With its ever-expanding fiber footprint, PSC’s broadband has greatly helped advance economic development throughout the region and supported local businesses and industries, healthcare facilities, schools and libraries, and government bodies. Growing broadband to reach the biggest contribution to our area, however, it has been the increased quality of life for our local communities and rural residents as PSC's main focus. The Covid-19 pandemic exposed what the lack of a high-speed broadband connection meant to millions of rural residents across our country. Work-From-Home, Telehealth, and e-Learning were not viable options for this area. Streaming movies and shows while we sheltered-in-place was entertainment they could not enjoy. PSC is proud to have deployed thousands of miles of fiber broadband to many areas well before the pandemic. As evidenced by the city of Tell City being recognized recently for the Best Small City to Work-From-Home in the United States, PSC’s hard work has been impactful and is making a difference. PSC’s commitment to our area will continue. Through creative partnerships, such as the one with Southern Indiana Power, PSC will always be mindful that many rural residents remain connected to a high-speed fiber broadband network.
