In April, we won $4 billion for the children of New York State. Join us on August 14 for a community celebration of this historic victory!
We will be returning to where it all started: Washington Heights, where in 1992 Robert Jackson and other parents filed the original Campaign for Fiscal Equity lawsuit against the state of New York — kicking off the decades-long fight for adequate and equitable resources for New York’s low income Black and Brown children.
Admission is free to the public. There will be speakers, music, food, and fun for all ages.
If you're able, please consider giving an optional donation. Your donation will help us to cover our costs of this community celebration — entertainment, food, music, and venue — and ensure we can make this event a success and free to the public.
Generations of parents, community leaders and students across New York State — those who, year after year, led the advocacy to hold New York to the promise of a sound, basic education for every child — made this win possible. It is proof of the power of the people, the power of never giving up and the power of "we."
We hope you can join us!
