Description
We all get into spots where we have to move, and you find the perfect place, and they don't accept pets.
If you own dogs or cats - Keep right on trucking. Dogs are loud and messy. Don't give the dog or cat away.
Don't move somewhere that doesn't allow pets, you absolutely do NOT have to take whatever you can find for whatever reason - even if your credit is bad.
Everyone has options, exercise yours! DON'T DUMP YOUR PET!
You wouldn't move in if they didn't accept your kids/spouse/grandma/ or whatever, so don't tolerate pet haters either, they are part of your family, and your responsibility for them goes further than advertising them on the internet when they become inconvenient. your pet isn't inconvenient, the landlord is.
Maybe we should start listing pet haters and acceptors in the pet section?
If you have cats and the landlord won't accept, so what? Who sees or hears a cat? Keep the blinds drawn and if the maintenance man is coming over, put the kitty in a kennel or at a friend's for a couple hours or something.
I saw posts about guinea pigs and the landlord won't allow them? Really? Do I need to explain this to you?
All of you that say "I No longer have time to give her/him what she deserves". We all know that means he/she won't quit crapping on the floor while you're at work. Get doggy day care, a kennel, or a neighbor.
Take your dog to obedience school on Saturdays so you can learn how to be a responsible puppy parent, the rest of us aren't out here going "Man, if only I had a bad mannered dog/cat to fill my extra time."
Grow up and accept your responsibility.
Life with pets isn't a picnic in the park but what they add to your life is far greater than anything you think they're taking from you.
