Free family fun to raise awareness of water safety and drowning prevention. No registration required! Goldfish Swim School, the leading premier learn-to-swim franchise, will host a free outdoor water safety block party to share water safety and drowning prevention information. Enjoy inflatable, outdoor waterslides for children under 6, family-friendly games, raffles, prizes and snacks. Don't forget to come ready to get wet! Swimsuits and towels will be helpful, and tours of the swim school facility will be available. The summer months (May – August) account for two-thirds of annual childhood drowning incidents, according to Total Aquatics Programming data. Drowning remains the No. 1 cause of unintentional injury-related death among children ages 1 to 4.
