Convention Registration Deadline: Friday September 17 at noon. INBA Crystal Mic Awards Join us for the inaugural INBA Crystal Mic Awards! With the Associated Press discontinuing their anuual Illinois Broadcasting Awards, INBA has decided to take on the important role of recognizing the best work in our field. For our first year, we will be giving awards to stations in Large and Small Market Television and Large and Small Market Radio in the following categories: Station of the Year Digital Presentation of the Year Reporter of the Year Weather Operation of the Year (TV Only) Radio Newscast of the Year and the Paul Davis TV Newscast of the Year We will announce award winners at our Saturday evening banquet. We will also bring you informative sessions throughout the day on Saturday to help take your reporting and broadcasting to the next level. Plus, we will announce the honoree for our annual Illinoisan of the Year on Sunday morning. We are asking all attendees to follow current CDC and IDPH guidelines for COVID-19. That currently includes all unvaccinated individuals wearing face coverings when outside of their hotel rooms. Founded in 1955 by news professionals from across the state, INBA continues to take an active role in educating, defending, and promoting fellowship among those in our industry. INBA also plays an important role in preparing the next generation of electronic journalists for this complex and ever-changing business.
