Monthly In-Service Training in Sussex County We will meet on Wednesdays, though not always at the same time. See the below schedule: July 21st: Book Club presented by Lauren Brueckner. The Book for this month's in-service is The Other Wes Moore. 4 total hours of in-service credit will be provided: 2 hours for reading the book and 2 hours for attending and participating in the in-service. The time for this training is from 10am to 12pm at the Lewes Library. August 11th: This training has been UPDATED....our presenter is no longer able to attend and present on Juvenile Justice (we'll try again for 2022). But, we're still going to gather together for a CASA Cafe/Get-Together and catch up. The time for this gathering is 10-12pm at the Lewes Library. Please join! September 8th: What Makes Therapy Successful? presented by Meg Garey and Amy Morgan both from A Better Chance for our Children. Meg and Amy will discuss how therapy works, the process many therapists take, and how clients can benefit from therapy. The time for this training is from 12-2pm. October 13th: Deeper Dive into Domestic Violence presented by Amanda Alcaraz from the Domestic Violence Coordinating Council. Amanda will focus on what domestic violence services exist and how clients can utilize such services. The time for this training is from 12-2pm. November 8th: Value of Visitation presented by Joann Santangelo from the Court Improvement Project. This presentation is interactive and asks participants to work a case focused around visitation options. Please note that this training is a Monday from 10am-12pm.
