Description
Annual Off-Roading with Fox River Jeep Club for Wheelers for the Wounded and visit to Marseilles Wall. The day is spent with the http://foxriverjeepclub.com/ in their trail rated rigs and skilled drivers! You will be matched with a driver and jeep, bring your family, let us know if you need 1 or 3 seats, if you need a VETANK for the uneven terrain on site when not in the jeep, and if you have a service dog. Meet on site in Marseilles and lunch is cooked for all by the Marseilles Fire Fighters! From FRJC: Our club started Wheelers for the Wounded (WFTW) chapter here in Illinois in 2014. These chapters are individually run in each state. Wheelers for the Wounded (WFTW) is an organization with the primary mission of providing a weekend of off-roading, camping, and in some cases fishing, but primarily 4 wheeling and camaraderie to our country's wounded military members. We are including ALL veterans (not just wounded) and active duty military. This is about giving back to the veterans and active duty military. This is our way of saying THANK YOU first and foremost. We need your help to spread this event to your veterans and/or active duty military. This event is free to all veterans and active duty military and their families/guests. Please feel free to give out our flyer that I have attached to get the invite out. We also have a Facebook group and can be found under WFTW Illinois Style. Our event is the first Saturday in August every year at The Cliff’s Insane Terrain in Marseilles Illinois. This year is August 7 2021. We keep getting bigger and bigger each year with the amount of participation and fun. They do not need an off road vehicle to participate as we will match them up in one of ours. Please contact me if you have any questions, comments, or concerns via email. My email is [email protected] To promote a healthy and succesful lifestyle for all veterans of all eras of the United States Armed Forces and their families by providing positive networking, fitness and recreational opportunities and community events. AllenForce strives to bridge the gap between military and civilian life as veterans face an ever-changing adjustment process after serving our nation.
