It has been a challenging school year for parents and students alike. Our Yoga & Art Camp at Flow Yoga Cedar Park, will focus on reintegrating your student into a small classroom environment, teaching them mindfulness, teamwork, and yes, beginner friendly yoga. Their afternoon will begin with mindfulness and yoga, with our resident Longhorn - Coach Cotton! He played during his tenure at University of Texas at Austin, and after graduation began coaching youth football and became a yoga instructor. Coach Cotton, or Yogi Cotton, as we know him, is a master at building relationships with students, and bringing out the best in them. Next, it’s time to integrate the mind-body connection through the art of drawing the human formwith Dr. Said Bouftass and Juliet Morgan. Said was classically trained in art and previously taught at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Paris, in France. Juliet Morgan, is an artist, photographer, and owner of E17 Studio. The practice of drawing the human body has therapeutic and emotional virtues that awaken intelligence and enrich expression. Between imagination and creation, the practice of drawing is considered necessary and important for the completion of our humanity. Life-size blackboard drawing encourages us to draw not only with our hand but with our whole body participating as if in a trance like dance or yoga. But of course we will also draw on paper with pencils and charcoal. We offer a unique and useful human experience for young students and adults. Let’s awaken our perception! Daily schedule: 1:30-2:30 - yoga and mindfulness meditation 2:30-2:45 - snack/break 2:45-4:00 - drawing We invite you to come out and meet the Teachers! Sunday, July 18th from 12-1pm. Flow Yoga is owned by two minority women, Carolina Bollinger and Fennis Ho. We focus on a community for all around wellness in body, mind and spirit through compassion, kindness, camaraderie, mindfulness, and awareness.
