Description

Our traditional two hour after school program, but instead of joining us for six weeks in a row, join us as you can! Join the farmers to experience life on a real working farm! Kids will feed and care for the animals, search for eggs, harvest crops, and more! We will learn about the farm and surrounding environment through hands-on activities, crafts, games, and cooking projects. Participants should wear work clothes and old sneakers or boots and come prepared to get dirty! This is a TWO hour drop off program and parents are not required to stay with the class. We will enforced social distance requirements including the following: - Socially distancing from other participants - Masks worn over mouth and nose at all times - Hands must be washed before and after class session 3rd-5th grade Pre-registration required Visit www.farmershelpers.com for additional classes & events at Chip-In Farm! If you are no longer able to join the class please let us know 24 hours ahead of time. We will be happy to issue you a refund or credit for the event. If you let us know after that 24 hour mark we will be happy to issue you a credit. If you are no longer able to attend due to illness please stay home, we will issue you a full credit or refund regardless of timing. Thank you! **Attending this class is at your risk. This means we will follow all safety proticals set out by the Massachusetts, but it is your decision to attend this class. We hope to provide and enforce a safe and secure class for all to attend.** Chip-In Farm was named in 1944 when members of the Couvee family “chipped in” to purchase a small farm in Bedford. A visit to the farm today brings you back to a simpler time when food was local and farms were family run. The Farmer's Helpers program offers an authentic, process-based, and hands-on farm experience for the next generation. Through Farmer's Helpers participants are given the chance to develop confidence, build community, and learn to become better stewards of their land and environment.
