Introduction to knot tying and rigging In this introduction to knotting class we will briefly cover: knotting terminology, a discussion of the four basic knot types, and other basic knot information. Then we'll examine the contents in my rigging bag, before going outside to look at a pitched flat-tarp example. Goal of class: Participants will be provided a length of Paracord to keep. Students will learn the bowline, taughtline hitch, and prusik knot, knots that work well for pitching tarps, as well as more general usage.
