20th reunion weekend & Homecoming for Austin/Westlake HS Class of 2001 Can you believe its been 20 years since we graduated on May 25, 2001?! We're planning a fun homecoming weekend and hope to see you all! Who: Anyone who attended Eanes schools with the Westlake HS class of 2001 (if you moved away, transferred or didnt ultimately graduate, that's ok, we still want to catch up!). Some events will be open to spouses and children and even your parents if they want to say hey! *We dont have contact info for everyone! Please help spread the word and add comments on the Google sheet if you have contact info for someone we should add to our list! Weekend schedule: Friday 10/22 (Time TBD, likely 7:30 pm) HOMECOMING FOOTBALL GAME vs Akins Families, kids, grandparents all welcome. We'll have a block of seats reserved, ticket information will be posted as soon as available. Saturday 10/23 School Tour: We're working on a tour of the campus to see all that has changed in 20 years and re-visit your favorite spots from the past! Kids/Families welcome. MAIN EVENT: 7-10 pm, Adults Only (Spouses/+1s welcome) We've booked the deck at Abel's on the Lake at 3825 Lake Austin Blvd #3510, Austin, TX 78703 Basic Ticket: $50 per person, chips & dips only + cash bar Dinner Ticket: $100 per person, wristband for fajita buffet + 1 drink ticket Parking: Oyster's landing has valet options and additional parking across the street if main lots are full. Please consider getting a ride or taking an Uber/Lyft if you plan to drink. Sunday 10/24 Zilker Park Day: 11 am to 2 pm, Families welcome, No Cost Bring your own picnic and kite and we'll meet at a designated spot in the park to relive the antics of the night before and the last 20 years. Parking: lots of parking on site and public transit available Travel: For those who no longer live in Austin, we recommend booking flights and hotels ASAP. The new race track (Circuit of the Americas) is hosting the only Formula 1 race in all of North America in 2021 on this same weekend, which may drive up costs / limit availability.
