THUNDERCAT • SHABAZZ PALACES ALL AGES Thundercat Shabazz Palaces LEVITATION returns Halloween Weekend 2021 THUNDERCAT • SHABAZZ PALACES THUNDERCAT is a Grammy-winning bass virtuoso and songwriter renowned for collaborations with artists like Flying Lotus, Kendrick Lamar and Erykah Badu, as well as his mind blowing solo output in which he's created a universe of deep grooves, psychedelic jazz and lush experimental passages. Wild, weird, trippy funk. Fun fact - Thundercat got his start as a member of L.A. thrash metal outfit Suicidal Tendencies. SHABAZZ PALACES is the cerebral and enigmatic project from Ishmael Butler of Diggable Planets (who also took home a Grammy in 1993). Shabazz Palaces is the first hip-hop crew signed to pioneering underground label Sub Pop, and have concocted a string of heady recordings with elements of avant-garde jazz, funk, and dub supporting Butler's likewise mind-expanding verses.
