Description
Join us for networking and to learn how to support Charlotte's goal of ZERO people killed in traffic crashes by 2030. Last year, 21 people were hit and killed while walking in Charlotte, and 2 people lost their lives while riding their bicycles. In the Queen City (and across the country), the statistics are sobering. How can each of us work to reduce those numbers to zero? Join Sustain Charlotte, Vision Zero Task Force members, and residents – just like YOU at Grow Smart CLT: Let’s End Traffic Deaths in Charlotte! We’ll discuss ways you can help us reach the City’s goal of having ZERO people killed (or seriously injured) in traffic crashes by the year 2030 and how the pandemic has changed the way people drive. Reserve your spot! Grow Smart CLT is Wednesday, June 11th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at CPCC’s Central Campus. The event will be held in the lobby (networking) and auditorium (presentation) of the Zeiss building at 1231 Elizabeth Ave, Charlotte, NC 28204. Convenient by bicycle, on foot, or CATS transit, the venue also has complimentary parking available for attendees (details coming soon). We just want to see you there!!! Light refreshments will be provided and kids are welcome. Please note: registration is required to monitor capacity. Therefore your reservation is very important. Continue the conversation after the main event concludes at 8:00pm! Connect with us at Devil’s Logic Brewing, 1426 E. 4th St. This is a free event, although a $10 donation is suggested if you’re not a current donor (member) of Sustain Charlotte. These funds will be used for future events and expenses. Health: We are following CDC and local health guidance for COVID-19. If you are not fully vaccinated, we ask that you wear a mask indoors at the event. Sustain Charlotte is a nonprofit organization helping to advance a region-wide sustainability movement by serving as a catalyst for change. Our mission is to inspire choices that lead to a healthy, equitable and vibrant community for generations to come.
