Durham, North Carolina Black Breastfeeding Week Photoshoot with SisterSong In anticipation of Black Breastfeeding Week, join SisterSong and photographer Roni Nicole for a photoshoot at West Point on the Eno City Park (5101 N Roxboro St. Durham, NC 27704) on Sunday, August 1st from 9:30am to 1pm! Come prepared to celebrate the beauty and power of breast and chestfeeding. Our goal is to use these photos to highlight Black folks on their journey of breastfeeding, wherever you might be on that journey. We are inspired by the land and how Mother Earth sees and nurtures us, and so we ask that you wear green to the photo shoot. To attend, you must register here. Lunch will be provided! Itinerary for the day: 9:15am - 9:45am: Arrival & check-in 9:45am: Welcome & opening of the space 10am: Photo shoot begins During this time, the photographer will capture portraits of you and your family. There will also be an optional group shot. We encourage you to stop by even if you cannot attend the entire event! We will be outdoors and near water, so please bring whatever you may need (mosquito repellent, sunscreen, allergy medicine) to be comfortable. We will have access to covered areas and picnic tables. Masks are encouraged at your comfort level. There will be snacks and water available throughout the day. There is also plenty of space for families and kids! 12pm - 1pm: Lunch Please register if you are certain you can join us as there are limited spots and we want to make sure we fill the spaces available and know how much food to provide for lunch.
