This year's theme is: “Building Back Stronger Together” Join us on August 4, 2021, at our annual Chairman's Reopening Reception. This year we are celebrating, "Building Back Stronger Together". This event is a wonderful opportunity to interact with our Board of Directors, community leaders, elected officials, and learn more about the Chamber and our commitment to the African American community. The reception is also an opportunity to connect with our members and corporate sponsors.  Representing the excellence of the black business community, this year's Chairman's Reopening reception we will recognize our major donors to the OAACC Resiliency Relief Fund that allowed us to raise over $1.1 Million Dollars and fund nearly 250 grants to Black -Owned Businesses this past year during the Covid-19 pandemic. This annual reception is one of the Chamber's highly anticipated event's that sell out quickly every year and one you would not want to miss! We are a private non-profit organization whose mission is to advance economic opportunity and create a favorable business environment by supporting, promoting and advocating for African American businesses. OAACC accomplishes its mission to incubate and accelerate economic viability for small businesses in and for the City of Oakland, and its surrounding areas, in three ways: Advocacy: Providing professional, inclusive, and relevant advocacy for minority-owned businesses in the Oakland Bay Area. Community & Economic Development: Empowering communities of color and underrepresented and low-income communities by connecting them with employment and education opportunities. Partnering in Prosperity: Collaborating with large corporations, government agencies, educational institutions and community and faith-based organizations to promote the creation of a strong economic environment that supports mutually beneficial and fair outcomes that sustains long business and community well-being.
