CMPD Freedom Division in partnership with the FDAC is joining Starbucks to host its first back to school event. Starbucks and the Freedom Division Advisory Council are partnering with the CMPD Freedom Division to host the first Back to School Supply Giveaway event. On the day of the event uniformed officers with community volunteers will meet at 538 Bradford Dr (Thomasboro Academy) to provide backpacks and other school supplies to approximately 300 local students. This event will be open to the community. In addition, there will be free food, music, games, educational resources, and much more. CMPD Freedom Division and Starbucks always welcomes volunteers for our community events and we are excited to host our first Back to School Supply Giveaway event. If you are interested in volunteering , we will be packing and organizing the donated school supplies for the day of the event. Volunteers will be assisting in preparing 300 backpacks filled with grade appropriate school supplies. There will be two split shifts to choose from.
