Volunteer with the Girl Geek X community to help prepare for reopening with your choice of indoor and/or outdoor activities! Girl Geek X Community has ADOPTED a public Oakland school for the 2021-2022 school year, serving students grades 6-12. We will support the school staff with BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPORT on Friday, August 6, 2021 (1pm-4pm) in Oakland. Volunteer with the Girl Geek X community to help prepare for reopening with your choice of indoor and/or outdoor activities: - Redoing bulletin boards - Organizing supplies - Weeding the garden - Arranging classrooms - Special projects Covid-19 vaccination required and liability waiver must be signed and filed with Oakland Public Education Fund BEFORE service: https://www.oaklandedfund.org/programs/volunteer/aaos-partner-sign-up - In the “More About You” section, it says “Choose the Option that Best Describes You”. Volunteers should select “Adopt an Oakland School Partner“. - Once you click that, another question pops up asking “Where do you work / where are you affiliated?”. Volunteers should write “Girl Geek X“ - Last step: look out for an e-signature email (subject line "Verify: Signed Response for Form "One-Time Volunteer Registration") -- you have to sign that form as Covid-19 liability waiver.
