If you don’t know what a Pelvic Health Physical therapist (PHPT) is or if you need one, this workshop is for you.
If you don’t know what a Pelvic Health Physical therapist (PHPT) is or if you should see one, this workshop is for you.
Kirsten Dell (Mack), DPT at MU Physical Therapy is a former standout Mizzou Softball player. She is going to teach us about Pelvic Health and how it relates to strength training.
Do more than just pick up a dumbbell; let’s learn about pelvic health, how it helps your body function well and how you can work to feel strong and confident in what you want to do in your daily life and fitness.
Pelvic Health Physical Therapy often addresses issues that may be hard to talk about including:
Pregnancy care
Recovering from childbirth (postpartum)
Pelvic pain
Painful sex
Pelvic floor dysfunction (male and female)
Pelvic organ prolapse (when organs in the pelvis slip down from their normal position)
Back, hip, sacral or coccygeal pain.
We’ll start with the basics of how pelvic health affects your body and when you might need an assessment with a PHPT.
Our promise:
You’ll walk out with a starter plan for understanding pelvic health and how you can collaborate with pelvic health therapists to navigate exercise with (a starter amount of) confidence.
