CONNECT 2021: The Road to Reconciliation
A Conversation with the Anderson Area Remembrance & Reconciliation Initiative
Health equity exists when everyone has a fair and just opportunity to be healthy including those who have experienced socio-economic disadvantage, systemic inequalities, pay inequity, and historical injustices. The Anderson Area Remembrance & Reconciliation Initiative seeks to:
Honor victims of racial terror and reflect more honestly on the history and legacy of racial and economic injustice in Anderson County.Raise awareness and inspire action through dialogue, community education and public memorials. Encourage change in polices that will eliminate social and health disparities and move us toward the goal of a "Beloved Community". CONNECT is an annual diversity and inclusion symposium hosted by AnMed Health in partnership with local business, industry and civic allies.
