Safe Haven Training The Hope Box is Georgia’s Safe Haven Law experts and training facilitators. The Hope Box travels extensively throughout the state of Georgia training safe haven location providers (police department, fire departments, health departments and hospitals). This training ensures that all safe haven provider staff are proficiently informed of the law and be better equipped should a mother invoke the Safe Haven Law and relinquish her infant at a site. The training also explains the serious issues surrounding infant abandonment, and the full wrap-around services provided to mothers in crisis by The Hope Box. THE HOPE BOX is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded to address the issues of infant discardment, abandonment, neglect, and abuse through legislation, education, advocacy, and Safe Haven drop centers. THE HOPE BOX is the Safe Haven chapter for the State of Georgia and  was instrumental in amending House Bill 391 in 2017.
