Trail maintenance and litter cleanup Join Rosie out on the Three Rivers Heritage Trail for a Tuesday morning workday. Volunteers will work on invasive plant management, including cutting invasive vines from trees, as well as litter pick-up along the trail and riverfront. COVID-19 safety protocols are in effect, including that all participants must wear masks during the workday. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own tools (ex. loppers and pruners) and gloves, but we can provide these if you don’t have them. Friends of the Riverfront is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building, maintaining, and stewarding safe, clean, and accessible trails as a part of the Three Rivers Heritage Trail system to create an outstanding experience for all trail users while providing economic, environmental, and health benefits to the Pittsburgh region.
