Technical & Business Systems, Inc. (aka T & B Systems) is an established applied research firm with offices in Northern and Southern California. We are looking for a person to retrieve ambient filter samples from sites in the San Jose Area. This on-going sampling program operates 365 days a year. Field technicians/operators work a rotating schedule of 4 days on and 4 days off, with route days changing each shift. You must be available on weekends and holidays. The "San Jose Route" starts at 2:30 AM. You are given 5 hours to complete the route; although some field technicians/operators are able to complete the route sooner. Duties include driving to six sites, exchanging filters, preparing documentation and delivering filters to a specified location. This position has proven to work particularly well for retirees, students, stay-at-home parents, artists and anyone looking to supplement their income with a part-time position. We ask applicants commit to at least one year of employment, though many of our current field technicians/operators have maintained this position over five years.
