CLEARWATER, FL — After two drivers ended up having their cars swamped by high tides, the Clearwater Parks & Recreation staff came up with a clever solution.
Over the summer, despite signs warning drivers not to park at certain locations on the Courtney Campbell Causeway, two drivers ended up with ocean-going vessels when the quick-changing tides came in.
To prevent this, Joel Donagan, Matt Anderson, Chancee Anderson, Dan Taban and Brian DeWitt placed posts to prevent drivers from venturing past the warning signs and entering the tidal area.
