NORTHPORT, NY — A bunch of kittens are the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kittens of the Week. "It is kitten season and Northport Cat Rescue could not just pick one kitty of the week, so instead we decided to feature a bunch of adorable and loving munchkins, all around 12 weeks, ready and waiting for their forever homes!" Lora Wild, a volunteer at the rescue, wrote. Red, Hottie, Chili (and their brother Peppa, who was already adopted), were all born in foster care, handled and loved from day one, according to Wild. "These siblings are sweet, playful, and affectionate. Chili, an orange tabby, and Hottie, an all-black beauty, are bonded while Red is more independent. These siblings are as sweet as can be with children and adults, love other cats and even get along with dogs as they are often found cuddling up to their foster family's puppy!" Cherokee, a female tortoiseshell, and her brother, Mushpot, a male tabby, are up next. "Cherokee is a spirited little bundle of joy, always the first to greet you and rub against your legs, purrs the instant you touch her and loves to play with her brother and snuggle up when she is tired," Wild said. "Mushpot is more mellow, always making eye contact, as if he understands every word you say. These 2 are bonded and we would love for them to find their forever home together." Four more siblings — tabbies found sick and alone — are now absolutely thriving in foster care with the help of an older cat that is also being fostered with them, according to Wild. "Sisters Lucia and Sally are lovable and playful, Lucia with her longer hair, both now full of confidence, love to play and snuggle. Brothers Sparky — the most energetic — and Luca the most affectionate, as he starts to purr just by looking at him! All four love their older cat friend and are all ready for their forever homes!" Meredith is last but certainly not least. "She is so friendly and loves to snuggle under the bed covers," Wild said. "She is the last one from her litter waiting for her forever home, as her siblings have all been adopted." All kittens are neutered or spayed, have all their shots, are litter box-trained, and micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative. If you are interested in meeting a kitten, you can head to the Northport Cat Rescue Association website and fill out an application to let them know you would like to meet her or any of the other kittens and cats.
