Description
LYNNFIELD, MA — Antisemitic graffiti was found at Glen Meadow Park in Lynnfield Wednesday morning.
The incident is being investigated as a crime and now police are looking for information, describing the graffiti as a swastika, the name "Hilter," and an obscene image.
Just last month, antisemitic graffiti was found in North Andover's Mills to Hills trail.
A statement was released by Lynnfield town officials Wednesday saying, "The Town of Lynnfield will not tolerate hate speech and discrimination and as Town officials, we condemn all acts that would seek to glorify the unspeakable atrocities committed under the Nazi regime against the Jewish community and other groups and those who would attempt to extend its legacy of hate."
The Department of Public Works documented the scene and has since painted over the graffiti.
Police are asking anyone with information to call the Police Department at 781-334-3131.
