STATEN ISLAND, NY – An autopsy conducted on a Staten Island man who was found dead inside his Staten Island apartment Monday morning with the words, "I touch little girls" written in black ink on his chest determined that he was beaten to death. Robert Raynor, 80, was found dead inside his apartment in the 200 block of Corson Avenue at 9:30 a.m. on Monday. A spokesman from the New York City Medical Examiner's office said Wednesday that the cause of death was blunt trauma to the head and torso and that the medical examiner had ruled Raynor's death a homicide. Police confirmed on Tuesday that Raynor was discovered in the hallway of his apartment, but the New York Daily News reported that witnesses said the man, who was reportedly disabled, was found with disturbing messages written on his chest and stomach. In addition to the words, "I touch little girls" written on his chest, the newspaper reported that the words, "I take dolls in my room for girls age 1-5" was written on his stomach in black ink and that "I touch" was written on his foot. Police have not yet confirmed the details about what was written on Raynor's body. The Daily News reported that Raynor was found shirtless and with his arms raised above his head. Neighbors told the Daily News that Raynor needed a walker to get around and complained about other health issues. "Friday, he said to me, 'The Lord is not ready for me yet,'" neighbor Monique Simon told the Daily News. "Those were his very words. I guess now it's between him and God."
