Huckin' Around is a celebration of the Mississippi River, its culture, heritage, ecology, art, and music. Join us a both VIP events and talks, seminars, and a reception that are free and open to the public. September 10th, will kick off the event with an evening cocktail party for VIP guests at the residence of local arts champion, Bill Luckett, which is a fantastic example of the architecture of famed Arkansas architect, E. Fay Jones. Friday begins with a canoe float down the mighty Mississippi with Twain scholar, Dr. Cindy Lovell, which ends with an island lunch. This portion of the event is for VIP guests. The fun continues with several free events that are open to the public, which begin at 3pm at the Cutrer Mansion. Join us for fun and informative talks from Twain scholar, Dr. Cindy Lovell, Yaupon tea expert, Bryon White, and National Geographic Explorer Andrés Ruzo. The evening culminates with a public afte- party reception at the famous Ground Zero Blues Club, which is owned by Bill Luckett and actor Morgan Freeman. *Ground Zero Blues Club charges a cover charge for entry* Please join us for the fun!
