WAUKESHA, WI – The 2021 Waukesha County Fair Kick-Off Opening Ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday at noon at the flagpole in front of the Waukesha Freeman Exhibits Building. Included in the short kick-off event will be: A welcome from the Waukesha County Fair Executive Director, Chrissy GluegeA welcome from the 2021 Fairest of the Fair Mariah Richardson.A march to the flagpole and presentation of the flag to be hung and flown. A salute of the flag; a performance by a local singer. A dissertation about the flag and closing remarks."This is the first time the Fair is having an opening ceremony of this caliber," said Chrissy Gluege in a statement. "I can't think of a better way to kick off the return of the Fair." The fair is the oldest in the state and the largest event in Waukesha County. July 21-25 marks the 179th anniversary of the Waukesha County Fair, presented by Inpro.
