Press release from the Barnstable County Government: 2021-07-23 By law, all foodservice locations must have at least one full-time food safety certified employee who is at least 18 years of age on staff.  ServSafe® courses have been developed by the educational foundation of the national restaurant association to train and certify personnel in the safe handling and service of food. Two dates for certification classes are offered in either August or September. For those individuals seeking recertification, attendance is required for the second day only. Classes are limited, and payment and registration are needed prior to the first class. The course includes the book, practice exam, and current ServSafe® test. Recertification $75 Required attendance on second day only. The course fee is non-refundable.
