SHOREWOOD, WI — If you're visiting the Culver's in Shorewood anytime soon, keep your eyes peeled for Giannis Antetokounmpo. The franchise owner told Patch that they're offering the MVP player free food for life.
The Milwaukee Bucks won their first NBA Championship in over 50 years this week, and the team's MVP player, Giannis, has been rolling in the benefits.
After the game on Tuesday, Giannis celebrated the teams historic win with a quick visit to the Chick-fil-A drive-thru in Brookfield. He specifically asked for 50 chicken nuggets, representing the 50 points he scored at Game Six on Tuesday, Patch previously reported.
Can I now have @ChickfilA for life?!! https://t.co/Q870cNt9NR— Giannis Ugo Antetokounmpo (@Giannis_An34) July 22, 2021 The Culver's franchise in Shorewood could be the latest in a pile of his food-related celebrations, or at least a consolation in case Chick-fil-A never gets back to him about his request.
The franchise owner told Patch that he saw Giannis joking around on Twitter about free food at restaurants, and wondered if Chick-fil-A would ever get back to him.
"We've got a great chicken product too," George Dimitropoulos, the franchise owner, said.
Dimitropoulos said that the franchise has always been a great fan of the Bucks, and told Patch that they are officially extending Giannis the offer of free food for life.
Will Giannis take up the offer? He hasn't said anything publicly about it yet.
