A Serious Car Crash In Canton Leaves A Man Without An Arm

CANTON, MA — Massachusetts State Police are investigating after a serious single-car crash on the ramp from Route 95 north to Route 128 north in Canton Wednesday night sent a man to the hospital. Troopers say they got to the scene around 1:25 a.m. Thursday morning, where they found a 28-year-old driver from Randolph suffering serious injuries, with his left arm amputated in the crash. A Trooper applied a tourniquet to the man, who was transported by ambulance to Boston Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Emergency crews located the man's arm and rushed it to BMC. Following a crash in Canton, a @MassStatePolice Trooper can be seen below arriving at @The_BMC with the victim's missing arm. State Police say the man was driving a 2012 Toyota Camry northbound on I-95 onto the ramp to Route 128 when they say the driver failed to bear right with the curve of the ramp - driving off the left edge and onto the grass shoulder. Police say the car struck a guardrail, traveled across the road before striking the guardrail on the opposite side. Police reported the scene to be clear around 4 a.m. The investigation is ongoing and no further information is being released at this time.
