The Ax Gang seeks a bass player. We have day jobs, but we are serious about music. We have drums and guitar and we play anything with a groove to it: classic rock and blues to be sure, but also funk, afrobeat, calypso, reggae, and all combinations in between. Santana, Allmans, Fela, James Brown, New Orleans, Cream, Motown, Marley? Yes to all of that. If you are feeling a little hemmed in by the rigid music formats police, give us a call. We would love it if you bring a full set of skills, but a positive attitude and deep musical curiosity can stand in for experience and a long list of name drops. We have a studio in Petaluma with a full bass rig ready to go if you don’t want to lug your back line around. Give us a shout!
