BROOKFIELD, WI — Milwaukee Bucks star player Giannis Antetokounmpo celebrated his victory Wednesday morning with 50 chicken nuggets from the Chick-fil-A drive-thru at 12625 W. Capitol Drive.
The "Greek Freak" recorded himself on Instagram Live as he waited in line. Visible in his lap was the Larry O'Brien trophy, which was awarded to him Tuesday night.
"50, exactly. Not 51, not 49, chicken nuggets," Antetokounmpo told one of the drive-thru attendants.
Not long after, fans started to show up on the grass outside the restaurant. "Can I touch the trophy?" one fan asked Antetokounmpo.
The 50 chicken nuggets referred to Antetokounmpo's 50-point closeout after the Bucks' 105-98 NBA Finals victory Tuesday night. The last player to break this record was Bob Pettit in 1958.
