Description
Get used to socializing again! D&D One Shots are fun and light hearted adventures for new and experienced players. Every session is a new adventure. We will be using the basic 5e rules that can be found for free at https://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/basicrules The GM (game master) will bring dice and entirely randomized level 1 characters for everyone to pick from. All you need to bring is a pencil and a willingness to listen to the GM experiment with making funny voices for the NPCs. Q: Will the characters you bring be min/max ones? A: Nope, I said random and I meant random. Half the fun of a one shot is trying to play a character with flaws... sometimes big ones. If you like your character you can keep it for future play sessions, or you can pick a new one for each one shot. Q: Can I sign up to play in more than one game? A: Sure thing! There can be up to 5 players in a game, and if there are lots of people who want to play I'll set up extra sessions. Q: How long is a game? A: About 2 hours. Sometimes a little less, sometimes a little more. Q: Do I need to read the rules ahead of time? A: Nope! I'll be there to walk you through how to play and what to do. Just bring your imagination and a pencil. Q: Is anything else expected of me? A: Well, I do hope that you will be vaccinated. Everyone is expected to be at least basically polite to the other players and to anyone else in the tea shop. Because we are playing in a public venue, no throwing tea cups or loud screams of rage at bad rolls will be allowed. Q: What if something happens that makes me uncomfortable while playing? A: Everyone can use the NOPE card. If something makes you uncomfortable just say NOPE and tell the group which part you don't like, and we will stop doing it. Everyone is different, and everyone should be happy and comfortable playing. If you have a specific phobia you don't want to come up in game, just let me know ahead of time and I'll do my best to avoid it. Week 1: June 5th 5pm Week 2: June 9th 2pm Week 3: June 17th 3pm Week 4: June 25th 4pm
