We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist. The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for collection of outstanding accounts receivable dollars from the existing client base and all other aspects of collections, resolving customer billing problems and reducing accounts receivable delinquency. This position will report to the Assistant Controller. RESPONSIBILITIES Review open accounts for collection efforts for TMBA and affiliate company. Make outbound collection calls in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations. Communicate with clients about billing discrepancies and questions, applying good customer service in a timely manner. Collect customer payments in accordance with payment due dates. Post collections to clients’ accounts. Prepare bank tickets for daily deposits. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Three (3) years' minimum experience in collections, preferable with some construction industry experience. General accounting knowledge preferred experience, i.e., bank and accounts receivable reconciliations and cash postings. Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast changing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word. Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy. Familiarity with accounting software programs.
