Welcome back to our annual walk! We are shattering misconceptions, raising the bar, and "Transforming Dreams into Reality" for the blind! The National Federation of the Blind is the leading champion of the rights of blind Americans. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams.  The National Federation of the Blind of Alabama has been in existence since 1942. While some steps have been accomplished toward equality for the blind consumers in our great state, there’s still an enormous way to go toward full integration into society. We are changing what it means to be blind, one life at a time.
