SILVER SPRING, MD — A 20-year-old man from Hyattsville was killed early Thursday morning when he crashed into a metal pole on the side of New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring. Julio Aldail Rodriguez-Interiang was driving a 2008 Acura TL north toward Wolf Drive when he hit the metal traffic light support pole around 5:20 a.m. He died at the scene of the crash, the Montgomery County Police Department said. Police say that speed was likely a factor and the Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating.
